Your Morning Briefing-1/18/12

Good morning, this is Your Morning Briefing, Wednesday, January 18, 2012.

I have good news for you. I will no longer begin these briefings with a weather report. Those of you who live here know what it is, and those of you who live elsewhere don’t really give a ratsass. I know I wouldn’t.

Now then, after thinking about what I’m doing, which is cluttering up your inbox, not to mention your mind, when most of you have better things to do, I will no longer be sending these briefings out via email. Sounds to me like I hear cheers from some and a simple sigh of relief from others. Let it not be said that I don’t know what it is to be considerate.

What I’ve done is create a web site where I will post these briefing and other things I write and if you are interested, and have the time, you may read them there.

The site is kallberg.blog.com,  I call it “The Chocolates of My Mind,” and it is billed as a “Compendium of random ruminations on the human condition as well as my own.” You can just copy and paste the address in your browser and it should take you there. It is up and running. Not much there yet but the recent briefings, but I hope to develop it over time.

From time to time I will send you a link if I think something is worthy of calling your attention to.

I joke about my muse, as you know, but she is real, she is here, and she won’t leave me alone. Today we were talking about why I’m doing this and I came to this conclusion, and she and I agreed: My salad days are far behind me. The main course has been devoured with relish, and I am now in the dessert days of life. That means I’m free to enjoy all of the after dinner chocolate, mints, ice cream and Brandy Alexanders that I want. I think it will include a good cigar once in a while as well.  That’s exactly what I intend to do. I hope you will feel free to join me in the den.

The chocolates of my mind are bittersweet, and delicious.

That’s the morning briefing for today, now feel free to go about and do what I suggested you do in earlier posts.

Take care, be well and keep in touch.

Bob
